Netscape.com is now Propeller.com? Wha?

Netscape = Propeller

According to a number of sites, as of August 2007 www.netscape.com was the #2 social bookmarking site. However, if you type in netscape.com now, it looks like… eww… AOL!

What happened to all the news, and the social bookmarking, and the user accounts??! I don’t want AOL, I want the #2 social bookmarking site dammit!

Alas, all is not lost, it’s only moved… to www.propeller.com.

There’s rumors of a PR push that ‘might’ happen with propeller.com, but from the comments by the users, it seemed to take a number of them by surprise.

Surprisingly, there isn’t anything on the new netscape.com that says “go to propeller.com if you want to enjoy social bookmarking”. There are a couple small mentions of it, but with a new name and a new logo, it doesn’t really register.
